Andrew Shaver is a founding member, performer and Artistic Director with SaBooge and has performed and toured with the company on all 6 of its creations.
He is also Artistic Director of SideMart Theatrical Grocery Montreal, the resident company of the Studio at the Segal Centre for the Arts in Montreal, where SideMart is developing a new musical with songwriter Matthew Barber entitled Haunted Hillbilly: The Hyram Woodside Atrocity, based on Derek McCormack's novella of virtually the same name. Hillbilly earned 2 Montreal English Theatre Awards for Best New Text and Best Music/Sound, and was nominated for 4 others, including Best Production. SideMart's 2006 production of David Mamet's American Buffalo received last season's Best Production Award.
He is in his 5th year as co-producer of the Centaur Theatre's Wildside Festival of new work and is heading to the Stratford Shakespeare Festival for the 2009 season (Zastrozzi, Macbeth, Cyrano de Bergrac).
Selected film credits include: Zackery Samuel: Illusionist, The Last Kiss, 300, Cruising Bar 2, Les Pieds dans le Vide, and I'm Not There. He also narrates the televison program Deconstructed on Discovery U.S.
Andrew is a graduate of Queen's University and Ecole Jacques Lecoq.
